Staff Recruitment 2014-2015

Hello, fellow members. I hope your day is going well. As you can see from the title, I'm here to discuss an update to the staff. With the creation of the site, the moderation staff obviously finds ourselves with less moderators than we'd like. We have decided to try public recruitment and see if we enjoy the results we get from it. That being said, if you're interested in becoming a moderator, please read the information below.

Before you get to the application, you must understand the following instructions.

- You send your applications by filling out the application form and posting in the "Apply For Staff" forum only. We will not accept pm or any other form of application.
- Being a moderator is a self-rewarding task where you are expected to be responsible, active and unbiased.
- Sharing information about your answers or any reply you may get from us is divulging classified information.
- All applications will be reviewed by the current staff and voted on to see who will make it to the second phase.
- If you are accepted for the second phase of the recruitment, then you'll be private messaged by a Global Moderator or Admin.
- Answer each part of the application to the best of your ability, with honesty and understanding what you're applying for.
- Being part of the staff means you can speak English fluently.

You may be immediately rejected from the second phase of recruitment if you fall under one or more of the following circumstances.

- If you have committed site offenses.
- If you have been warned or banned several times.
- If your account is not more than two weeks old.
- If you were demoted from the moderator position before.
- If you are found sharing your information with other people.
- If you fill out any part of the application with false information.

Staff Application wrote:

Personal information:

- What is your first name?
- How old are you? When is your birthday?
- What country do you live in? What is your timezone?

Imperia information:

- Your username?
- Your alternate account(s)?
- Why do you want to be a moderator?
- How active are you on Imperia?
- Define what it means to you to be a good moderator.
- What do you think of current staff as a whole?
- What qualities do you possess that would make you a good worker?
- How well do you know the forum rules? How well do you know the section rules?
- What section do you want to be a moderator of? (You may list more than one, but listing many will not help your chances. The types of mod include: Admin, Creation Mod, Event Mod, and GFX Captain)
- What else do you wish to put into your application that does not fall under the above questions but you feel can help your chances?

Sample moderator question:

- A friend of yours approaches you in private messages to let you know that he has been posting on Imperia while banned with his [insert username] account, but will not do it anymore because he doesn't want to get in trouble. What is your reaction as a moderator?

That will do it for now. Keep in mind that application is just the first step to being accepted. You may ask questions on this topic, however nothing else is permitted to be here. That means you must not post your applications, random comments or anything else on this topic. We have the right to delete anything from this topic.
